Marianne’s Two-Tone Hickory and White Kitchen in Trafford, PA

Marianne’s kitchen in Trafford is a remarkable example of how thoughtful design can completely transform a space. By removing bulkheads and transitioning from a peninsula to an island, we created an open layout that flows beautifully while adding storage, counter space, and accessibility.

One of the most striking features is the original brick wall behind the range, sealed with a glossy finish to become a focal point that adds texture and character. The design also elevates Marianne’s cherished china collection with glass doors, glass shelves, and LED lighting, turning it into an elegant display.

Convenience was key in this remodel. A built-in mixer lift makes baking easier and more enjoyable, while modern storage upgrades ensure every inch of the kitchen is both functional and stylish.

The cabinetry combines warm hickory bases and tall cabinets in a saddle stain with sable glaze, paired with crystal white wall cabinets finished with a coffee glaze. This two-tone look balances richness with brightness. White quartz countertops with subtle light brown veining and a biscuit-colored backsplash with a soft crack pattern complete the palette.

Under-cabinet lighting and illuminated china cabinets add warmth and depth, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes this kitchen a true gathering space.

Marianne’s kitchen is now a space that blends elegance, functionality, and personal style.
