Jeff and Shannon’s kitchen remodel in Murrysville, PA completely transformed the way their home feels and functions. By removing multiple walls, the kitchen, living room, and dining room were opened into one large connected space that now flows naturally throughout the main floor.

Designing the perfect layout required careful planning and collaboration. Through several design revisions and virtual reality walkthroughs, our team worked closely with Jeff and Shannon until every detail felt right. The final design centers around an impressive 52” x 124” island with seating for five, dramatically increasing counter space while creating the perfect gathering area for family meals and entertaining.

The kitchen features a warm two-tone cabinetry design. The perimeter cabinets are finished in Portabella stain with an Onyx glaze on hard maple, a rich finish that has become increasingly popular for homeowners looking to add warmth and depth to their kitchens. The island and wet bar contrast beautifully with a deep Nitefall stain on cherry, which reads almost black while still highlighting the natural wood grain.

Several custom features bring both beauty and function to the space, including an oversized island with decorative legs, a custom wet bar with glass display cabinets, a statement range hood, and major storage upgrades throughout the kitchen. Functional improvements like a pull-out pantry and utensil organizers make everyday cooking and entertaining easier.

All cabinetry for this project was custom built in-house at our shop in North Huntingdon, PA, allowing the layout to be tailored precisely to the space and the way Jeff and Shannon use their home.
