Robb and Nicole’s North Huntingdon home shows how the right design can completely refresh a space without starting from scratch. Nicole had always dreamed of a large island, so we nearly tripled its size and made it the heart of the design.

The cabinetry features a two-tone combination of Frosty White on the perimeter with a Fern Green island. The clean shaker door with a beveled bead gives just enough detail while staying timeless. Calacatta Elysio quartz countertops and a Renzo Dove tile backsplash tie everything together with bright, natural style.

The custom-shaped island includes solid wood legs, a workstation quartz sink, and an integrated trash pull-out. Floating shelves with accent lighting create display space while the backsplash extends to the ceiling for a finished look. A cozy coffee bar replaced the old desk area, and gold pulls with a matching faucet add warmth and contrast against the Fern Green cabinetry.

Storage and layout were maximized with wall cabinets to the ceiling, roll-out trays, and upgraded pantry organization. The result is a kitchen that feels both functional and welcoming. Nicole says she now spends all her time here, calling it her favorite room in the house.
